Audience Manipulation, Doubles, and Locations in Strangers on a Train


The Danbury Railway Museum which served as the main train depot in Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train is the setting for a discussion of the development of the screenplay, Hitchcock's fondess for doubles and contrasting images, and Hitchcock's ability to manipulate the audience into rooting for his villains.
